About us

Balance Surf is led by Kervin Miranda, a passionate surf instructor with an extensive background in skateboarding and a deep love for the ocean. With over 10 years of professional skateboarding experience, working alongside Adidas as his sponsor, Kervin’s skills on the board are backed by years of practice, dedication, and understanding of movement. His journey from skateboarding to surfing came naturally—combining the same balance, flow, and passion for board sports. But it wasn’t just about the thrill of the ride—it was the connection to the ocean and nature that truly sparked Kervin’s love for surfing.

Our mission

For the past several years, Kervin has been sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with others, teaching surf lessons for all ages and skill levels. Whether you're an absolute beginner learning to ride your first wave, an intermediate surfer refining your technique, or an advanced surfer looking to perfect your skills, Kervin’s approach is personalized to meet your needs and goals.

His teaching style focuses on building confidence, improving technique, and helping students develop a deeper understanding of the ocean—always with safety as a priority. Kervin tailors each session to the individual, ensuring that no matter your level, you feel supported, challenged, and motivated to improve.

Our approach

As a dedicated father himself, Kervin has a special gift for teaching kids and sharing his knowledge about surfing. He brings patience, encouragement, and a sense of fun to every lesson, inspiring the next generation of surfers to develop not only their skills but also a lasting love and respect for the ocean.

He also works with adults of all ages, whether you’re picking up surfing later in life or want to enhance your existing skills. Our other instructors all follow the same approach; to make surfing a complete experience, backed by knowledge, and moved by passion for the sport and the ocean.

At Balance Surf, it’s not just about the waves you ride—it’s about finding your flow, building confidence and creating a deeper connection with the ocean.
